Tooro United forward Marvin Oshaba is confident that his side will end their disastrous run of 10 consecutive losses with a golden win against SC Villa.
The Kabarole based side will play against the Jogoos in matchday 13 of StarTimes Uganda Premier League at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru on Monday, December 27.
Having gone 10 games without a win or a draw, Tooro will look at the game against Villa as a golden chance to overturn their fortunes.
While on the other side, SC Villa had gone five games without a win until a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Busoga United meaning they will also want to maintain winning ways.
While speaking to Gateway News Oshaba reflected high levels of confidence noting they will pick all the maximum points from the 16-time league champions.
“We have hard a long run of bad results but with the hard work in the previous days a win against SC is a must,” he revealed.
“We did not take any day off that is why even Christmas found us training which makes me believe we have prepared enough going into tomorrow’s game.”
Tooro United started the campaign with a 1-0 win against a tough opponent in Mbarara City before they drew against Gaddafi in the following game.
Since the loss against KCCA FC, they have had quite a tough run capitalised with bad results and management woes whereby one would think a win can overturn things around at the club.
“Yes there are a lot of things not going the right way but most of us are league debutants and fell short of experience in the concluded games but with the games played we feel stronger and will catch up soon.”
“The coaches have done a great and we take the blame as players that is why we are putting in a shift to see that we end the bad run and get back to winning ways,” he concluded.
Tooro United lies at the bottom of a 16-team log with four points garnered in 12 games while SC Villa has 12 points (1 point docked) after 11 games played.
