KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso anticipates a ‘tough and tight’ game against Onduparaka which he described as a ‘compact and resilient’ side.

Twelveth placed Onduparaka host table leaders KCCA in matchday 13 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Greenlight Stadium, Arua on Monday, December 27.

“We are facing a team that is compact and resilient and is home,” Byekwaso noted before adding; “Though our boys are going to fight do everything to see that we earn it.”

“We had an evening training and the players responded well, we have come for a mission which we have tried to stand for but tomorrow gives us a better chance to clarify it if we need to be thinking of good things in the future.”

KCCA FC is still unbeaten after 12 games (eight wins and four stalemates) into the campaign while Onduparaka has won two games, held six draws, and lost on four occasions.

The last time the two sides met, KCCA registered a narrow 1-0 win against the Caterpillars thanks to Sadat Anaku’s second-half strike.

“Yes! It will not be an easy game because all the times we faced Onduparaka it has been tough and tight. I think we have to use the chances that we create because we have failed to convert many in the previous games,” he concluded.

Team News:

Onduparaka will miss the services of Nathan Oloro (Ankle injury), Emmanuel Opolot, Martin Aniku, and Emmanuel Oketch (Family issues) but will welcome back assistant captain Rashid Okocha.

KCCA’s Geoffrey Wasswa, Julius Poloto, and Yasser Mugerwa are still nursing injuries while Peter Magambo, Brian Kayanja, and Emmanuel Wasswa are long-term absentees.
