Kitubulu Residents receive clean Water

The All Nations Theological College and Seminary (ANTS), in collaboration with Katabi Town Council handed over a clean water facility (borehole) to Kitubulu residents. The facility is to be utilised by residents both in Katabi town council and Entebbe municipality.

This donation worthy shs20m came in following the appeal from the residents to their leaders at Katabi town council, specifically through the area councilors Asia Namisango and Juma Abdullah who also happens to be the town council’s speaker.

Rev. Victor Jung the chairperson of ANTS said that considering the development of the community, ANTS discussed the direction of collaboration with Ronald Kalema the Katabi Town Council boss, and learned about the situation of people who reside in the area but are too poor to access clean water facilities.

They subsequently requested sponsorship for the borehole development from Rev. Sung-Hwan See, South Korea of SONG-PO Church who sponsored the construction of this facility in the area.

“Am very happy to work with the Katabi town council chairperson because without him how could I know that there was a need for a borehole. This is very important and I will continuously consider the community,” he noted.

He therefore promised to continue collaborating with the Katabi town council in all possible ways to improve the community’s livelihood and also urged the residents to keep the borehole clean and safe.

“Through this borehole, more than 1,000 people in the area can now have access to clean water every day,” Rev. Jung added.

Ronald Kalema, the Katabi town council chairperson intimated that it’s an ongoing project to provide at least three boreholes in each village in the town council, and over 11 boreholes have been so far been put in place including 3 in Bugabo cell, 3 in Bulega cell, 1 in Nalugala cell, Kiwuulwe cell, Lwanjaba cell, Nkumba cell, Kawafu cell and Kitubulu cell.

Victor Jung for the continuous support to not only his place of residence but the entire town council in terms of food during the Covid-19 pandemic, scholastic materials to the children and clean water mostly to the vulnerable people.
