Nkumba University on Saturday 26th February, presented a total of 1432 graduands, with female dominating the list with 782 graduates and only 650 males on the varsity’s 24th Graduation Ceremony.
The University Chancellor Emmanuel Katongole conferred 5 Ph.Ds, 103 masters, 889 bachelors, 238 Diplomas and 110 certificates, female dominating in each department.
While on this 24th graduation, Emmanuel Katongole the University Chancellor in his speech thanked parents, guardians and all benefactors for having supported the graduands through sparing their resources to ensure that students complete their studies.
He also thanked the University Council, Management and all Nkumba University staff for grooming the students with all the knowledge and skills that have made them perfect in what there now.
Mr Katongole also asked graduands to uphold the moral values that were installed into them wherever they go and not let them down by being incompetent, corrupt or criminal but being good ambassadors of the University.
Prof. Jude Lubega the University vice chancellor asked for government’s support mainly to the University hospital.
He thanked the University Foundation Body, Board of Trustees, University Council, Management, staff and Alumni for the support rendered in the operations of this great institution.
Prof. Lubega reviewed that in the next few months they are going to launch The School of Computing and Informatics which shall be housed at Kampala campus located along Kabaka Anjagala road in Mengo.
