St Mary’s Kitende’s second team (Team B) registered a well deserved 4-1 victory against Standard High Zanna in the USSA Elite Championship at Kitende on Saturday.
Kitende (Team B) earned their second victory after a 3-1 win against Jinja SS in their opening game.
Two minutes into the game, Johnson Kabagambe opened the scoring party as Standard High’s defence was caught slumbering at work.
Kabangambe extended the hosts’ lead before STAHINZA pulled back back in the first stanza of the game.
In the second half, Faizul Kitumba extended Kitende’s lead Ali Ismail sealed the emphatic win.
In the second game of the day, Royal Giants earned 2-0 win past Dynamic SS which doubled as the former’s second consecutive loss in the tournament.
After a goalless first half, Isa Bugembe broke the deadlock in the 55th minute before Galdin Okumu doubled the lead two minutes later.
In the final game of the day St Mary’s sides met and Team A beat Team B thanks to Brian Olega’s first half brace.
