SUPL: Police FC exhibit stellar performance against Bright Stars

Police FC staged a five-star performance after registering a 5-0 victory against Bright Stars in the StarTimes Premier League at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday.

It was a comfortable and well-dictated show for the Cops who were looking to keep the moment high with the third consecutive win having started with a poor run.

Against a disjointed Bright Stars that assembled a three-man defence, Police FC enjoyed huge stints of possession and pressed the visitors continuously.

With twelve minutes played, Juma Balinya tapped home from close range after being set by Police FC captain Tonny Mawejje to take the lead.

Six minutes later, Muwada Mawejje extended the lead placing the ball home past Bright Stars goalkeeper Simon Tamale thanks to Mawejje’s cross that was the second assist of the day.

Two minutes into the second stanza, the Cops made a double change introducing Herman Waswa and Samuel Kayongo for Arafat Kakonge and Isaac Kiberu.

Five minutes past the hour mark, Eric Senjobe headed home Ruben Kimera’s inch-perfect corner kick to ensure his side earns the bragging rights.

Ten minutes later, the second-half substitute Wasswa pounced on Kimera’s cross to make the score raise to four up.

Late in the contest, Emmanuel Mugume placed the icing on the cake to serve the Police faithful a perfect evening of football.
