KCCA FC head coach Morley Byekwaso has cautioned his charges to play with confidence ahead of their game against Express FC.
The Lugogo based side will visit Express FC in the famous ”Kampala Derby” at Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Thursday March 3rd.
According to Byekwaso, KCCA FC needs win from this game more than Express FC and therefore they should handle it with a lot of confidence.
“We need to go there and play with confidence and show we want it more than them. That is how you win such games,” Byekwaso said before adding.
“We have prepared every player to be ready for the task at hand. We need to have the mental toughness and focus on the game.”
KCCA FC has now switched focus to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after a shock exit from the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the hands of Mbarara City FC.
Meanwhile, fifth placed Express FC enter this game targeting victory following their 1-0 loss against Busoga United FC away in Bugembe.
Dennis Iguma has returned from injury for KCCA FC and will be part of the squad that will travel to play Express FC.
“We shall have Iguma and Anaku back for the derby. For Kaddu’s case, we will continue to assess him and we are hopeful that he will most likely make the final squad for the game,” Byekwaso noted.
When the two sides met in the first round of the 2021/22 season, they played to a goalless stalemate at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
Express FC have won seven games, shared spoils eight times and lost thrice so far this season.
