Kakembo calls out FUFA on reckless decision.

UK-based football executive, Ivan Kakembo has scoffed at Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) for it’s decision to punish players who abscond their province roles without written substantial excuse.

The former SC Villa and URA CEO dismissed the move by FUFA as unbecoming and incomprehensible to demand players to feature for their provinces without fail.

FUFA’s Excom Member in charge of Marketing and Sponsorships informed the football fraternity of the association assertive stance on players who will not respond to their provincial roles.

“If a player has been summoned by a province, that player should report unless if they have justifiable excuses which they should explain to FUFA in writting. Short of that, the player that has been summoned and does not show up will be sanctioned for the next three games of any FUFA competion,” said Rogers Byamukama.

“To avoid all these Hullabaloos, please release these players to go and play for their provinces, I beg you, otherwise even if you keep them, these players, for as long as the province reports and makes a formal complaint, they will be sanctioned for the next three games of any FUFA competion,” He added.

In a rather prolific response, Ivan Kakembo who holds a FIFA Diploma in Club Management responded to FUFA’s decision in terms that expose the association’s untouchable way of doing things with claims that such a decision would make the association act derogatory to Federation of International Football Association’s(FIFA)guidelines on the same.

“My learned friend, Rodgers Byamukama, this is un precedent, vexatious, frivolous, bad in law practice, irrational, marred with imminent malice and bias, discriminitive and very prohibitive, non inclusive, apathetic and detergents in every Nature of FIFAPROYT,”reads Kakembo’s Twitter post.

Of late, the Mengo based Federation of Uganda Football Association leadership has been unleashing rigorousness on the footballing fraternity with what many have termed as ‘easy-Instant’ biased decisions.
