I Am Ready For ‘the big stage’, claims Nyanzi

Kajjansi United FC midfielder, Nyanzi Marvin has opened up about his future noting he feels ready to play in the Uganda Premier League (UPL).

While speaking to Gateway News, Nyanzi said he feels it’s the right time to make a big step and show the world what he has got in the bank.

I have had a great time in the Regional League though I am now more than ready for the next chapter,” Nyanzi told Gateway News before adding.

I have had different challenges in my career but that is normal. Every athlete does find them but am glad I have regained my mojo,” he added.

Nyanzi hit the stage after emerging a star in the St. Mary’s Kitende school team and many thought it would be easy to cross to the main team Vipers SC.

While at Kitende, he managed to guide the team to the Zonal championship, Wakiso District title and Copa Coca Coca-Cola 2015 Championship.

But he later moved on and struggled to find a team where he could polish more of his talent.

Yes, I enjoyed Kitende but still faced numerous challenges. I decided to move and start a fresh and new chapter.

Nyanzi restarted his story after joining Ndejje United a first division side before he later moved to Kajjansi United.

At Kajjansi, he looked a fresh and rejuvenated. He was the team’s top scorer last season after concluding the campaign with 12 goals.

However the season didn’t end as planned after his side failed to join the FUFA Big League after losing the Buganda Regional League playoff finals 1-0 to Lugazi FC.

Kajjansi United is a great team. It has shaped me into a better player and they owe me a lot. As long as am still their member I give them the best of myself.

The season was good only that it ended on a sad note after losing the finals. But we are positive and ready to keep fighting,” he strongly noted.

The midfielder is currently playing for the Masaza reigning champions Buddu. Though in the past he has also played for Kooki.

Several UPL teams such as Wakiso Giants, KCCA, SC Villa and Bright Stars are chasing the midfielder’s signature.

It is only a matter of time to confirm where the lethal midfielder will be next season.
