Vipers SC former left-back Aziz Kayondo has finally flown out of the country to complete his move to Real Salt Lake FC in the Major League Soccer.
Gateway News has learnt that the roving wingback travelled in the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Kayondo was part of the Uganda U-20 team that made the Pearl of Africa proud after reaching the finals of the Continental championship.
Even though Uganda lost 2-0 to Ghana, Kayondo was named in the best eleven of the tournament.
The quick and hard-working left wing-back has grown through the ranks and it will be the right time for him to taste the fruits of his sweat.
After impressing at the U-20 side he played his first game with the senior side against Rwanda as the Cranes were playing the World Cup qualification game in Kigali.
Of course news earlier broke that Kayondo had already finalised a move to Czech Republic side Mestky Football Klub (MFK) Vyskov.
It’s understood the deal was finalised but then due to the number of foreigners allowed to be in the team, he was loaned to Real Salt Lake for more development.
