UPL: Busoga United Add More Misery To Onduparaka

Busoga United registered a 1-0 victory against Onduparaka in the Startimes Uganda Premier League at Kakindu Stadium on Monday.

The battle of survival was separated by Peter Onzima’s strike that came as early as the third minute.

All through the duel, the home side was the better side. They played a great game that kept their crowd entertained all through.

The visiting side didn’t show the hunger and intention to leave the relegation battle.

Laban Tibita nearly extended the lead through a backheel but effort bounced of the goal post.

Later on, Isaac Doka Mweru came so close with an effort steps away from the goal but custodian Mathias Okello pulled off a save.

On the other hand, Onduparaka nearly levelled matters through Gama Williams but goalkeeper John Okurut was in right place to collect the ball.

Dennis Ojara set up Gama but the forward failed to place the ball on target.

Rashid Okocha nearly staged some magic as his roving delivery beat goalkeeper Okurut only to hit the frame.

The victory took Busoga to the 12th position with 22 points while Onduparaka lie bottom of the log with 13 points.
