Uganda Hippos to contend DR Congo in the African Semi-final

The Uganda U20 Men’s National Team after finishing top of Group B with a 100% record in the ongoing African Games in Accra Ghana, will now battle with the Democratic Republic of Congo in the semifinal of the 13th African Games.

The Hippos won Senegal 2-1 in the first game followed by a 1- nil win over Nigeria in the second group game.

They went on to finish the group stage with a 1-0 victory against neighbours South Sudan, a goal that was scored by Apollo Kagogwe in the game that was played on Friday, 15th March at the University of Ghana Stadium.

Uganda will now battle with the Democratic Republic of Congo for a place in the final on Tuesday as the host nation Ghana who finished top in Group A faces Senegal in the other semifinal.
