The landlords will have to wait for another day of a kind to return to winning ways after sharing spoils on two consecutive ocassions.
With only four minutes into the game, Ashraf Mugume placed KCCA in the lead with a beautiful freekick after he was fouled a step away from the box.
Five minutes later, KCCA custodian Benjamin Ochan miss-cleared the ball before it was again miss-controlled by Usama Arafat who lost possession to Juma Balinya.
Arafat fouled Balinya in the dangerous area leading to a penalty. The former KCCA forward stepped up to convert from the spot hence levelling matters.
Hassan Jurua laid a long ball into the area before Sadat Anaku flicked it to meet Davis Kasirye whose shot flew over the bar.
After recess, KCCA made a double change that saw Rogers Mato and Filbert Obenchan introduced for Kasirye and Innocent Wafula.
In the same spirit Frank Kalanda paved way for captain Tonny Mawejje.
Second half entrant Mato headed wide Mawejje’s darling cross from the close range denying the visitors a chance to retake the lead.
KCCA grew in rhythm as they kept carrying the Cops who preferred to play on the break.
The result takes KCCA to 42 points while Police si ninth with 23 points from 21 games played in the league.
In the next fixture, KCCA FC will host Vipers at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Saturday March 26 while Police will travel to play against Gaddafi on the same day.
