SUPL: Odoch optimistic despite poor start at Express

Express FC interim coach James Odoch claims that his team will improve going forward after a poor start to life at the Red Eagles.

Odoch who replaced sacked Wasswa Bbosa started with a 1-0 loss away to Busoga United FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Friday evening at the Kakindu stadium.

Forward Ssekulima Paul scored the only goal of the game in the 22nd minute and Express failed to level the matters.

However, according to Odoch, they will work on their mistakes and improve in their next games.

“We lost which is unfortunate however like I mentioned in my pre-match interview, we knew Busoga was a tough team,” Odoch said.

“They scored early due to lack of concentration in our defence and kept their lead, we now shall go back and work on our mistakes so that we can do better in our next engagements,” he added.

Express’ next league game will be against KCCA FC at Betway Muteesa II Stadium on March 4th.
