Streamline’s Ssekisambu credits teammates for goal scoring exploits

Streamline Soccer Academy’s agile forward, Reagan Ssekisambu is the favorite to clinch the Gateway Entebbe Junior League’s golden boot this term after finding the net 29 times in only 15 games this term.

The 15 year old, has set himself apart in top scorer race this season with 3 hat-tricks and multiple braces to his name, and he has turned provider for teammates 13 times this term.

The versatile player can play as a central striker and as well play out-wide on the right and left wings easily.

Ssekisambu will always be remembered for his jaw dropping goalscoring prowess at the 2017 edition of the U12 Gothia Cup in China, where he scored 26 goals in only 8 matches, he was only 11 years old.

Ssekisambu has attributed his brilliant form to the concerted efforts of his teammates in an exclusive interview with Gateway News.

“My teammates make me better, and I always try to put the work in at all times, they were by me on my recovery, when I missed the first games due to illness. I want to score more goals and as well assist my teammates. I hope we can win the league,” Ssekisambu said

“I look up to my big brother Erisa, he has been a good role model for me”The youngster spoke delightfully about his older brother Erisa Keith Ssekisambu who has played as a forward for Uganda Premier League giants SC Vipers and KCCA Football Club.

Ali Ssemakula who’s the second placed top scorer with 19 goals and a teammate to Ssekisambu revealed that the competition between them, has elevated their game this term and hopes the partnership continues.
