Reports: Byekwaso’s End Time At KCCA Is Nigh

KCCA gaffer Morley Byekwaso might be nearing his exit door from the Lugogo-based side as a dark cloud continues to mount over his stay at the club.

Gateway News understands that some of the club’s governing board are running out of tolerance due to the consistency in dropping points.

In the last three games, the Kasasiro Boys have held 1-1 stalemates hence dropping six points and allowing SC Villa to create a wider edge at the summit.

While some of the members think Byekwaso can turn around things, others believe if a change was rung earlier the club can chase the two titles at their disposal.

KCCA is second on the log with 38 points, five points adrift of log leaders SC Villa.

Byekwaso’s troops have two games in hand if both are won then they can take over the top spot.

Pressure continues to cliff Byekwaso

If KCCA misses out on this campaign, it will be a repeat of last year when they finished on top of the log in the first round only to fumble in the second round.

At full time of the 1-1 draw against UPDF, there were voices in protest and a group of fans were donning black attire to show their grief due the poor run.

Byekwaso expressed his disappointment revealing he thought his charges had bagged the three points.

“It’s tough and hard luck. I thought this was over. We ended up sharing a point each instead of taking home maximum points,” he told the press after the final whistle.

“However, the struggle continues and we need to find a way of turning around things. If we are to be champions, we need to come back and start winning games,” he added.

The gaffer highlighted, the league is a marathon but there is limited room for error and any slip off the road might blur the changes of a title.

“We need to start right away. We have dropped enough points and we need to come to an end of that right away. Every game counts and so we have no time.”

“We need to win all our remaining games if we are to light up the remaining few chances. I am still confident we shall get back to winning ways,” he stressed.
