Pilsner Awards: Bbosa, Isabirye and Robertinho battling for December’s best coach

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa, Vipers SC head coach Roberto Olivieria and BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye have been nominated to battle for the StarTimes Uganda Premier League coach of the month for December.

Bbosa guided the Red Eagles to four wins out of six league games in December. The Red Eagles also didn’t conceed a single goal through the month.

“I am happy to make it to the shortlist. We did great in December where we had four wins in six games and also going the entire month without conceding a goal is impressive. Credit to the players, technical team and everyone that works behind the scenes to ensure the team performs very well,” Bbosa said.

Express FC sit third on the log after 14 match days with 26 points and next up for Wasswa Bbosa’s charges is the last game of the first round, a home game against Soltilo Bright Stars on Friday.

Meanwhile, Isabirye led BUL FC to three wins, two draws and one loss in the league during the month of December.

The Eastern Giants are now sitted fourth on the log with 25 points with their next game in the league being a trip to St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende to take on Vipers SC on Friday January 8th.

On the other hand, Robertinho led Vipers SC to five wins and one draw in the six league games played in December.

In the same awards, Vipers SC’s Ceaser Manzoki, BUL FC’s Ibrahim Nsimbe and Police forward Jula Balinya will be vying for the player of the month accolade for the month of December.

Balinya has scored five goals in the row helping Police FC to find their lost form just like Nsimbe at five while the Congolese forward has managed five goals as well in December.

The Venoms are now sitting second on the log with 29 points from 13 games played so far.
