Pictorial: POATE 2025 attracts hundreds of exhibitors, hosted buyers

The 2025 POATE, which commenced on Wednesday, 21st May, at the Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo in Kampala, has attracted hundreds of exhibitors from Africa and all over the world including countries like Egypt, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Canada, the UK, Germany, among others.

This year’s edition, organized under the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation”, has been spiced by several activities, including hosted buyers’ meetings, conferences, breakaway sessions, fashion and cultural shows, and exhibitions, among others.

The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo is East Africa’s tourism signature event that brings together tourism stakeholders to one ideal meeting place to meet and network with exhibitors, buyers, investors and suppliers of services in the tourism sector from all over the world.

POATE 2025 has been designed as a multi-stakeholder platform that creates value and visibility for a wide range of participants.

It is a vital event for international and regional hosted buyers, including tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), luxury travel agents, and travel designers seeking fresh, authentic African experiences.

The expo is also highly beneficial for Ugandan and East African tour operators and travel agents looking to showcase their products, build new partnerships, and expand their market reach.
