KCCA’s Wasswa out for six months after undergoing surgery

KCCA FC center back Geofrey Wasswa will be sidelined for at least six months after undergoing successful knee surgery.

Wasswa suffered a meniscus tear and partial tear on his Anterior Cruciate Ligament of the right knee in mid December 2021.

The center back was receiving treatment until further examinations suggested that he had to undergo surgery. He is now undergoing recovery and will undergo post operation physiotherapy after recovery.

The 25-year-old joined KCCA FC on a two-year deal from SC Villa on a free transfer. Wasswa previously played for St. Mary’s SS before he was promoted to the Kitende Senior side, Vipers SC.

He won two Uganda Premier League titles with Vipers (2018 and 2020) and the Uganda Cup in 2017.
