Four people have been knocked dead in an accident which occurred along the Hoima road on Monday morning.
The accident occurred in Kitoba sub-county, when the victims who were riding on a motorcycle registration number UDW 280K bajaj were knocked to death by a Toyota wish, registration number UBK 654V.
The dead have only been identified by a single name each as Elvis, Darius, Jackson and Onesmus, who were all residents of Chongambe trading centre in Buseruka sub-county.
William Byakagaba, an eyewitness clarified that the victims died on the spot.
Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson said the driver who is yet to be identified abandoned the vehicle and took off after the accident.
The motorcycle and the vehicle involved in the accident have been towed and parked at Hoima Central Police Station.
