Sarah Nabirye, the Entebbe municipal education officer and Frank Sekagiri, the municipality community development officer were arrested on Tuesday on the orders of Hon. Peter Ogwang, the minister of state for economic monitoring during his visit and assessment of government programs in the municipality.
Nabirye and Sekagiri were reported to have mismanaged the education funds and the Youth Livelihood Funds respectively. Sekagiri was also accused of mismanaging funds of the Uganda Women Empowerment Program (UWEP).
The two, are currently being held at Entebbe police as the minister continues to monitor several other programs and projects.
