Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga boys head coach Edward Kasozi has set a target after setting foot in Arua District.
The 2022 USSSA National Post Primaries will be held in Arua at Mvara Secondary School starting on Tuesday April 19 to Friday 28.
After losing on penalties to Kawempe Muslim Secondary School in the Kampala finals, Uganda Martyrs believe they have corrected their mistakes and oiled their armoury to get the business done at the National level.
“Our target is to qualify for East Africa,” Kasozi noted on the set target of the championship.
“We have reached Arua safely after a long journey and we thank God for the travelling mercies. We hope to have enough rest as we prepare for the games ahead,” he said.
“We expect a real challenge because everyone here is a champion. But our strategy will be to play each game as a final.”
According to the gaffer, his charges faced good schools like Gombe, Kawempe Muslim and others which puts them in a place ready for what lies ahead.
“The boys played well during the qualifiers and we only want them to do better, we expect good competition but we are ready to represent our mighty school,” he concluded.
Uganda Martyrs are in Group G with schools like Jinja Progressive, Teso College, St Jude SS, Mbale Progressive, St. Pontiano Ngondwe, Nile High Odia, St. Francis Ayume and Nyamitanga S.S.
