A great writer Winston Churchill once said the secret of your success is determined by your daily agenda.
In the same spirit, Jinja SS head coach Hassan Zungu is determined to build a strong side however with an agenda of developing talents before the scrutiny of results.
“At Jinja SS development of talent is the primary goal then results come later,” Zungu told Gateway News before adding.
“At this level, it is not fair to put a lot of pressure on a player but rather allow them to express what then from which you can later guide as a coach,” he stressed.
Jinja Secondary School has continued to be a harbour of talent which later feeds several professional clubs to be specific those in the Eastern part of Uganda.
For starters, players like Ismail Mugulusi, Kenneth Semakula, Moses Opala, Lawrence Tezikya, Ambrose Kirya, George Kasonko, Joel Madondo to mention but a few, all are produts of Jinja SS.
“Having spent the previous years without playing due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our performance and competition have been largely affected.”
“That is why we have gone back to push for the chemistry in the team so that we improve on the way we play.”
“We need to stick to our principles and play the way we train. That will help us create a long term philosophy of winning games,” the soft speaking gaffer concluded.
In the ongoing competition, they have only played two games where they managed to beat Janan SS 2-0 thanks to James Mubezi and Moses Logono’s goals.
They later held a goalless stalemate with Kampala District Champion Kawempe Muslim in an entertaining game that was deemed by a heavy downfall.
In the next fixture, they face off Sironko Parents in an early kickoff that will be played at Arua Public on Friday, April 22, 2022.
