Transformer FC qualifies for the 1st Bajaj Boxer in Basamulekkere – Sekigozi Tournament

The Nkumba Kisembi’s Transformer FC has qualified for the first brand new boda boda – Bajaj boxer after a 2-nil win against Kawuku Boda Stage FC in the first semifinals of the Basamulekkere – Sekigozi Boda Boda Tournament 2025.

Over 100 boda boda stages in Katabi town council have participated in this year’s edition, which is spiced with many surprises.

On the final day of the tournament, Sunday, 29th June 2025, at Nkumba Kataka pitch, the champion will be awarded with a brand new boda bike – Bajaj boxer, a trophy, gold medals, a set of jerseys, a ball, and a certificate.

The second team will also win a brand new boda bike – Bajaj boxer, silver medals, a set of jerseys, a ball, and a certificate.

The 3rd team will win a bull, a set of jerseys, a ball, and the certificate and the 4th team will go away with the set of jerseys, a ball, and a certificate.

A brand new modern bicycle will also be awarded to the winner of the bicycle cycling race among other prizes.

Individual awards will also be awarded depending on performance statistics; all sponsored by the Katabi Town Council chairperson, Ronald Kalema Basamulekkere and Stephen Sekigozi, an aspirant MP of Busiro South Constituency.

According to the sponsors, Ronald Kalema, stated that the tournament is an avenue for the teeming youths of Katabi Town Council to discover and showcase their sporting skills through the instrumentality of football and unity.

“The tournament unifies the community by providing a platform for the boda boda riders as well as uniting them,” Stephen Sekigozi said.

On the finals, Transformer FC now waits for the winner in the second semifinals of Bukasa Stage FC Vs Kitala Prison Stage FC that will be played on Wednesday, 25th June at Kataka playground.
