Vipers SC continued to consolidate the summit of the log after beating KCCA in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
KCCA FC took the lead after five minutes thanks to Ashraf Mugume’s curling freekick that was freely nodded home by Denis Iguma from close range.
Vipers nearly paid back after Bobosi Byaruhanga went for power in a freekick but Ochan punched it away for a corner kick.
Three minutes to half an hour mark, Yunus Sentamu beat Hassan Jurua and curled the ball in the area, Cesar Manzoki rose and nodded the ball at the far post.
Five minutes later, Herbert Achai crossed a well-weighed ball meeting Sadat Anaku who fumbled with the ball after remaining with only a keeper to beat.
After recess, Vipers SC introduced Musa Ssali to replace Siraje Sentamu who limped off the field of play.
Najib Yiga released Manzoki on the left flank but the Congolese’s shot flew above the framework.
A minute after Milton Karisa rose amongest a forest of bodies and arrowed the ball home to take the lead.
The victory extends Vipers comfort at the summit of the log with 58 points while KCCA sit second with 46 points.

Vipers SC will host Gaddafi at St. Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday April 20 while KCCA will travel to Jinja to play against third placed BUL FC.
