SUPL: Gitta happy with Wakiso Giants’ performance despite loss against SC Villa

Wakiso Giants head coach Alex Gitta was full of praise for his lads’ performance under what he called difficult conditions despite a 2-1 defeat to SC Villa,

Moses Aliro equaliser turned into a mere consolation as Benson Muhindo converted a second half penalty to give Villa the win in a fixture the Purple Sharks finished with a man less after the sending off of Simon Namwanja.

“We prepare teams to get to the field,” Gitta said before adding.

“It’s important that all stakeholders in the game also prepare enough for certain games such that spectators and fans can enjoy a free and fair game.”

“My team performed well. However, acts of third parties influenced their performance and switched them off but we remain positive.”

The lads are back in action on April 10 away to Tooro United.
