Vipers SC will be aiming at moving closer to winning this season’s StarTimes Uganda Premier League title when they take on KCCA FC.
The Venoms will visit the Kasasiro Boys at the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo on Saturday April 16th in the league encounter.
Vipers are currently on the top of the log with 55 points while KCCA FC are second with 46 points from 23 games played so far.
“We have a strong match against KCCA FC tomorrow. Of course at this stage, they know how we play and we know their team too,” Vipers SC assistant coach Marcelo Cardoso said.
“We are developing our strategy to approve this match in the best way possible inorder to get a good result.”
“It’s very important to say that for us to have a good result isn’t a victory of course we want to win all the matches but to win a league, we have to play with results,” he added.
A win will see Vipers moving to 58 points, 12 ahead of second placed KCCA FC while KCCA FC will close the gap to six points if they register maximum points on Saturday.
KCCA and Vipers will be meeting for the 34th time in the league history and the Venoms are slightly ahead with a victory more than the hosts having 13 wins, nine draws and 11 losses out of the previous 33 meetings.
In their previous fixtures, Vipers secured a 3-0 victory away in Ndejje against bogey side URA FC while KCCA FC drew 0-0 at home to Arua Hill SC.
