Vipers SC have confirmed their spot in the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup following their 3-0 victory against Kataka FC on Saturday at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Yunus Sentamu, Allan Kayiwa and Paul Mucureezi scored for the Venoms as they cruised past Kataka.
Sentamu opened scoring in the fifth minute when he beat Kataka’s goalkeeper to the ball and bundled it into the net following a beautiful pass from Najib Yiga.
Kayiwa then doubled Vipers’ lead with a superb half volley into the bottom corner of the net in the 65th minute of the game.
Mucureezi then sealed it with a third goal in the 87th minute with a beautiful header from Disan Galiwango’s corner kick.
Vipers are targeting their first ever double with Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup.
