PLU Diaspora Chapter donates Mama Kits to Expectant Mothers in Entebbe

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) diaspora chapter leaders on Monday 4th May visited Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital, where they donated Mama Kits to expectant mothers to support safe and dignified childbirth.

During the visit, Ronnie Kananura, the chairperson of the PLU-USA chapter lauded the hospital’s administration and staff for their dedication and commitment to saving lives and also promised more support to the facility.

“We shall always be there to endeavor such that with this support cannot stop here, but it can further our goal as PLU and all as one members of Uganda, we thank you for this opportunity, and we appreciate that we should always be seeing each other at all times,” he noted.

Dr John Bosco Nsubuga, the Director of Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital commended the PLU leaders for this noble gesture.

He said that the donation will promote hygiene and provide essential birth kits to mothers who cannot afford them.

PLU diaspora leaders encouraged the mothers and the public to utilize government health facilities and also acknowledged health workers for their dedication.

The donation exercise was welcomed by mothers at the facility, who expressed gratitude for the support and the continued improvements at the hospital.

As part of the visit, the team also planted five trees to remember General Muhoozi’s trademark for 50 years and above in a way of protecting the environment and securing it for the next generations.

Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital works on over 6000 deliveries in a year, and about 170 neonatal care babies admitted to the hospital’s nursery per month.
