The 13th annual edition of the Kids of Africa Run has been a success with hundreds of participants from different parts of the country. The event was held in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district, and the starting point was at the Kids Pioneer Primary School in Bugiri-Bukasa.

The 2025 run focused on “Sanitation for the Girl Child” to raise awareness and funds for improving menstrual health for school-age girls.

The event’s proceeds will be used to fund the construction of sanitary facilities for schools and provide reusable sanitary pads for vulnerable girls in public schools.

The run included a 5km, 10km, and 21km half-marathon, with medals awarded to all finishers.

The event is organised by Kids of Africa together with a Swiss charity that supports orphaned and disadvantaged children in Uganda, in collaboration with other partners, including the Sheraton Hotel, Katabi town council, and Kisubi hospital, among others.
