The High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to Uganda, H.E. Julius Kiema Kilonzo has expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government for the good working relations and support during his time in office since 2018.
H.E. Kilonzo conveyed his valediction during a farewell courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Jeje Odongo, on Wednesday morning at the Ministry Headquarters in Kampala.
The outgoing diplomat noted the heightened multilateral cooperation of regional and international nature plus the regular and cordial bilateral frameworks including the Joint Ministerial and Political Commissions (JMCs and JPCs)
Hon. Odongo appreciated the role played by the High Commissioner in steering Uganda Kenya relations to greater heights. He remarked that the warm relations between the two countries have resulted in a strong bilateral partnership that continues to grow from strength to strength.
Kilonzo will be going head to head against Vice President William Ruto, Raila Odinga and a host of others in the 2022 Kenyan presidential polls scheduled for August.
