Katabi TC pays tribute to Fallen Leader Nansubuga

Katabi town council on Tuesday 25th June paid tribute to the late Christine Nansubuga in memory and respect for her great contributions to the town council, Wakiso district, and the country at large.

Nansubuga has been the Katabi Town Council councilor representing people living with disabilities.

She died of cancer on Monday 24th June at the Cancer Institute Mulago where she had been getting treatment for the past 2 months.

Ronald Kalema the Katabi town council chairperson noted that Nansubuga has been a great leader with a kind heart and a parent to many.

“We have lost a transformational leader who has supported and contributed to the success of many people especially those living with disabilities in Katabi and Wakiso district at large,” he said.

Kalema therefore raised a motion on the floor of the council meeting to have a road in names of Christine Nansubuga as a way of honoring her great support to words the development of Katabi town council and Wakiso district at large.

“Following her efforts for the betterment of our area, I kindly request you my fellow leaders to support this motion so that we can get a road in memory of her services well done to our town council for the past 15 years,” he remarked.

The motion was later seconded by Joseph Musuku the councilor that represents Abaita ababiri and John Muhire plus the whole entire Katabi council.

The Katabi Town Council Speaker Juma Abudala praised the late Christine Nansubuga for being a hardworking leader with great ideas for better service delivery.

Rose Kirabira the former Wakiso district RDC lauds the fallen leader for her parental and leadership career which has yielded a lot of benefits over the years.

“Indeed we have lost a responsible leader that has added value to the community, especially in the area she has been representing,” she added.

Kirabika also appreciated the Katabi Town Council chairperson for uniting the council leaders irrespective of the political umbrellas they belong to.

Christine Nansubuga was later buried in Mpala-Bubuli, Katabi town council Wakiso district.
