Farouk Miya off the hook with a move to Ukraine

Uganda Cranes forward Farouk Miya has finally find a new club with a move to Ukrainian Premier League side FC Lviv.

Miya joins FC Lviv on a short term deal that is expected to expire at the end of the current season but with an option of expansion.

The former Vipers SC player failed to cement a starting sport at Konyaspor in Turkish Premier League as he netted only eight goals in 46 matches prompting the technical team to cut him off the roster.

He has barely featured for the Uganda Cranes in the last engagements due to lack of club football.

Miya has been unemployed since August 2021 when he mutually terminated his contract with the Turkish club.

This is Miya’s sixth club, he previously featured for Vipers SC in Uganda, Belgian sides Standard Liege and Royal Excel, FK Sebail in Azerbaijan and Croatian outfit HNK Gorcia.

FC Lviv currently sits 12th on the 16-team Ukrainian Premier League table with 17 points from 18 games played so far.
